As you all know, i now have a gorgeous 2005 STi, so the RS will finally need to move on, after 4 years of passionate romance.

Have owned this car since 2006, from where it was completely stock, apart from the wheels and stereo.
From there, i have continued to add my own little touches to it, making an already great car, into something even better. The 2.5L provides great torque down low, which makes suburban driving a breeze.

The car has never seen the strip or track, and has been regularly serviced, with log books.
It has been my absolute pride and joy, and any one who knows me, or has seen my car at Rexnet meets, can vouch for its condition.

The car, for its age, is in really great condition! It does have the odd mark or scratch here or there, but otherwise it has been meticulously cared for and will be loved by any who look at it. The only negative i should mention, is the clutch is occasionally showing signs of wear. Occasionally get a little shudder when cold, and sometimes the thrust bearing can tick. This is only ever occasionally. Clutch does NOT slip, and drives great. Stock clutch.

very nice RS you've got there mate....why dont you keep both car? i reken the RS impreza is a very strong car on both touge and track....

They are awesome cars, but no way i could afford two cars at 20 years old. Struggled to buy the sti as it is.

Also, no room at home for another car.

hay prezza just wondering how did u spray paint ur wheels?

for preping the wheels, how far did u have to sand it down?

r we meant to only sand off the original paint + glossy bit?

how should the wheel be like after sanding? rough and colorless? or smoooth?

i mite take a wkend off to do it haha

Sand using wet and dry untill ALL gloss/clear coat is gone, and a good portion of the upper layers of paint, so that the primer has something to dig into.
Wash well! Once dry, the wheels should be smoothish, but look very dull, matte, and boring.

2 good coats of a metal etch primer
3-4 coats of your desired colour
4-5 coats of clear.

i originally did 2 coats of clear, and it wasnt good enough, and started to be eaten by wheel cleaners. Did 5 coats on my brothers wheels, and they are still amazing. So when i redid these wheels before putting it up for sale, i did 4-5 coats.

All paints were premade, off the shelf spray cans from bunnings.. no special wheels paints needed, as long as you prep, paint and clear properly.
